It’s the era of smoothies. Smoothies are a great addition to your weight loss diet plan. That’s because they are quick to make, and pack a big dose of nutrition with all the fruits and vegetables they contain. Plus they are big on the yum factor. To add a wow factor to your diet plan, I have some of my own smoothie recipes for weight loss. My list is made up of a diverse range of ingredients to make it interesting for the entire week (and some more).
Yogurt and Blueberry Smoothie
Ingredients
1 cup skim milk (you can also use almond or soy milk)
1 1/2 cup blueberries
¾ cup yogurt
½ tsp vanilla essence
1 tbsp flaxseeds
½ cup ice cubes (optional)
Method
Blend all above ingredients in a blender until smooth.
Chocolate Raspberry Smoothie
Ingredients
1 cup skim milk ((you can also use almond or soy milk)
¾ cup yogurt
¼ cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 1/2 cup raspberries
½ cup ice cubes (optional)
Method
Blend all above ingredients in a blender until smooth.
Pineapple Mango Green Smoothie
Ingredients
1 cup skim milk (you may also use almond or soya milk)
½ cup vanilla protein powder
¼ cup mango cups
½ cup pineapple chunks
½ cup banana
1 cup organic baby spinach
1 tbsp chia seeds
½ cup ice cubes (optional)
Method
Blend all above ingredients in a blender until smooth.
Mint Chocolate Smoothie
Ingredients
1 cup skim milk (you may also use almond or soya milk)
½ cup chocolate protein powder
¼ cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
½ cup fresh mint leaves
½ cup ice cubes (optional)
Method
Blend all above ingredients in a blender until smooth.
Citrus Smoothie
Ingredients
1 cup skim milk (you may also use almond or soya milk)
¾ cup yogurt
1 Clementine (peeled and sliced)
2 tbsp freshly squeezed lemon juice
1 tbsp flaxseeds seeds
½ cup ice cubes (optional)
Method
Blend all above ingredients in a blender until smooth.
Banana Coffee Smoothie
Ingredients
1 cup brewed coffee
¾ cup yogurt
2 bananas
½ tsp cinnamon powder
2 tsp honey
1 tbsp flaxseeds seeds
Method
Blend all above ingredients in a blender until smooth. This is one of my absolute favorite smoothie recipes for weight loss.
Spinach and Avocado Smoothie
Ingredients
1 cup skim milk (you may also use almond or soya milk)
¾ cup yogurt
1 avocado
1 large banana
½ cup organic baby spinach
1 tbsp flaxseeds seeds
½ cup ice cubes (optional)
Method
Blend all above ingredients in a blender until smooth.
Banana and Cherry Chocolate Smoothie
Ingredients
1 cup skim milk (you may also use almond or soya milk)
2 tbsp chocolate protein powder
1 large banana
2 cups cherries (pitted)
1 tbsp chia seeds
½ cup ice cubes (optional)
Method
Blend all above ingredients in a blender until smooth.
Banana and Coconut Smoothie
Ingredients
1 cup coconut milk (or coconut water)
1 medium banana
¼ ripe avocado
½ cup organic baby spinach
1 tbsp hemp seeds
½ cup ice cubes (optional)
Method
Blend all above ingredients in a blender until smooth.
Blueberry Acai Smoothie
Ingredients
1 cup skim milk (you may also use almond or soya milk)
1 large banana
1 cup blueberries
1 tsp acai powder
½ cup ice cubes (optional)

Blend all above ingredients in a blender until smooth.
